GreatIdeas Educare Documentation

This documentation will provide you with detailed step by step instructions on how to use the GreatIdeas Educare system effectively.

This tutorial shall be written into sections with each section representing a module of the System.

Info

To get better display for use of the system, we recommend that you use a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 or higher.

Modules

Home

Provides the gateway to the modules and operations of the system. Similar functions are replicated on the side bar.

Dashboard

Gives the overview of the basic statistics of the system such as number of students, staff, subjects, number of students in classes and programmes, recent admissions, etc.

Staff

The Staff module provides the functionalities for adding and modifying new and existing staff respectively. Staff can also be filtered and exported to SpreadSheets. Staff dependencies on departments, associations and staff grades can be previewed.

Students

The Student module also provides the functionalities for admitting and modifying new and existing students respectively. Students can be filtered where nominal lists be exported to SpreadSheets. Students can be promoted while students' testimonials be prepared for completed students.

Academics

Create new sessions for every semester and academic year. Register students for each session where teachers can be assigned to subjects and classes. Teaching schedules provide an effective tool to visualize teachers' workload.

Assessments

Your gateway to providing assessment marks or scores for students while generating reports for class performances and terminal reports. SBA raw sheets can be exported to Excel for subject teachers to provide assessments, and later upload seamlessly. Subject teachers can equally export this on their own by visiting their SBA assessment card. Students' cumulative records can also be fetched by getting the averages of previous assessments.

SBA

The SBA Module is shown when a Staff is assigned the Teacher role as permission to use the System. This will be used to record assessments marks and remarks for students.

Security

Security provides the functionalities of authorizing users by adding permissions to roles. These roles are then added to users which enables the user to access resources based on the role.

The security module also has audit trial which tracks all activities in the system.

Settings

Features under Settings are used to modify and create records which may not be frequently interacted with. This is where you create, modify and delete records of features such as Classes, Subjects, Departments, Subjects, Houses, Staff Grades and Staff Associations.

Final Exams

The tasks of candidates writing WASSCE exams and teachers analysing them is a tedious task. We simply these tasks by allowing you to add students based on completion dates as batch. After that you enter the results for each students. The analysis is then easy after that.

Backup

When you are not a database administrator by profession, it cumbersome to do basic database activities on the server. Here, we simplify the backup process of the database with a single click.
